The police have announced traffic diversion in parts of Mylapore for the Panguni festival being organised by the Kapaleeswarar Temple from March 20 to 29.
As per the traffic arrangement vehicles would not be allowed from Luz roundtana towards R.K. Mutt Road, from Kutchery Road to Mathala Narayanan Street, from Dr. Ranga Road to Venkatesa Agraharam Road, from St. Mary's Road to R.K. Mutt Road, from Chitrakulam East Street to Chitrakulam North Street and from Mandaveli Salai to Adam Street, T.S.V. Koil Street and West Chitrakulam Street.
MTC buses towards Mandaveli from Royapettah High Road and Kutchery Road will be diverted via Luz Church Road, D' Silva Road, Warren Road, Dr.Ranga Road, C.P. Ramasamy Road, St. Mary's Road, Sringeri Mutt Road and R.K. Mutt Road.
In the return direction, the buses bound for Luz junction would be diverted via Mandaveli, V.K. Iyer Road, Sringeri Mutt Road, Warren Road, Dr. Ranga Road, East Abhiramapuram 1st Main Road, Luz Avenue, Luz Church Road, Karpagammal Nagar, Sivasamy Salai, Royapettah High Road.
MTC buses now being operated from the Mylapore tank terminus will be operated from the Mandaveli terminus during the festival.
Parking facilities for vehicles coming to the festival are available at P.S. Higher Secondary School playground, near Kamadhenu theatre on Luz Church Road and Venkatesa Agraharam Road near Sai Baba Temple, according to a press release.
