The Hindu Metro Plus Lifestyle Show is back

On display will be consumer electronics, computer and IT products

The seventh edition of The Hindu Metro Plus Lifestyle Show, south India's largest consumer fair, is back again at Chennai Trade Centre from Thursday. The show, which records over 90,000 visitors per year per city, offers a retail shopping extravaganza.

About 280 stalls will be spread over a sprawling air-conditioned area of 12,000 sq. m. On display will be consumer electronics, computer and IT products, automobiles and accessories, furniture and furnishing, kitchen accessories, home appliances, bathroom fittings, arts and handicrafts, beauty and health care products, real estate, home needs, textile, clubs and resorts and gift items.

As an attractive addition, the show will have a Thailand Pavilion, which will feature 30 stalls of Thailand products, including jewellery and handbags. A range of contemporary jewellery, bracelets, pendants and necklaces will be on display.

There is an exclusive pavilion for National Jute Board, in which 15 stalls showcase an entire range of jute products — from bags, jewellery and saris to dress material.

The Food Court will have stalls of Vasanta Bhavan, Food Express, Wang's Kitchen, Jalapinos, Marrybrown, Dominos, Java Green, Cream World and a few stalls for chaat, cotton candy, chocolate fountains and popcorn.

Samsung, the main sponsor of the event for the sixth year, will be a key attraction with its stunning exhibits of high-end 3-D LED, LCD, plasma televisions and some of the latest launches. Samsung will also introduce its cutting-edge products such as 3D Blu-ray player, Blu-ray-integrated home theatre system, its ‘Frrrunch' range of refrigerators and air-conditioners.

The co-sponsors of the event are Toshiba, Canon, Srinivasa Silks and Sarees, Sun Direct DTH, SME–Thailand Pavilion Packaging Products, Tata Motors and Propshell Business Solutions. Others associated with the show are Q Bites — Food Court, Aquafina — Water Partner, K Lite — Lighting Partner, ITC Park Sheraton — Hospitality Partner, NDTV The Hindu — Channel Partner and Suryan FM 93.5 — Radio Partner.

The show will be open from 10 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. till June 7. Entry fee will be Rs.50 per person. I Ads & Events will be the Event Partner. The show will be inaugurated by actor Andrea Jeremiah.
