Milk supply restored, says Aavin

April 24, 2011 03:08 am | Updated 03:08 am IST - CHENNAI:

The Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (Aavin) on Saturday said that milk would be available at retail shops from Sunday.

The federation said that following a fire in the Sholinganallur plant, the unit's work was stopped on April 21 alone.

Milk was supplied to cardholders from the Ambattur and Madhavaram dairies. With the recommencement of operations at the Sholinganallur plant on Friday, arrangements have been made to supply milk to wholesale distributors also.
