Voters of Velachery constituency on Saturday organised a meeting of all their candidates for the Assembly elections.
M.Jayaraman (PMK), E.Sarathbabu (independent) and Senthil Kumar Arumugam (Makkal Sakthi) were the candidates who participated.
M.Jeyaraman said he would stress the need for easing traffic congestion in Thiruvanmiyur LB Road Junction and near Tidel Park.
Independent candidate E.Sarathbabu said: “ I will set up citizen interaction centres to conduct regular forums for receiving suggestions on local issues to prioritise spending of MLA Local Area Development Scheme.” Senthil Kumar Arumugam, Makkal Sakthi candidate, said he would focus on health, education and skill development at the local level. “I will make efforts to make the MRTS clean and safe,” he added.
