The Velachery police have arrested three persons on charges of assault after the CCTV footage of the attack was aired by many television channels.
Syed Hussein (42) of Marudhumuthu street in Velachery on Wednesday complained that his neighbour Ramasamy (43), and two others had attacked four persons who had come to his residence-cum-office.
He handed over a copy of the footage to the police and also gave copies to television channels.
Police sources said the issue had its roots in a dispute over parking.
On Monday, Jahir Hussein, a relative of Syed, parked his vehicle near Ramasamy’s house.
Ramasamy, who was under the influence of alcohol, objected to this and created a ruckus. Later, Ramasamy and his friends barged into Syed’s property and attacked the persons sitting inside.
Police arrested Ramasamy (43), ‘Dolphin’ Suresh (32) and Sudhakar (30).
They were remanded to judicial custody.
