Man attacked

A gang allegedly attacked a software professional and abducted two of his colleagues in Adyar early on Wednesday.

According to police, Sadasivam, Bhupathy and Nandagopal, running a software company in Teachers Colony, Adyar, went for a movie on Tuesday night. While coming out, their vehicle accidentally hit another car that led to an argument. Later when the three were at a petrol bunk in Indira Nagar, a gang came there and attacked Sadasivam with a deadly weapon. The accused forced Bhupathy and Nandagopal into their vehicle and escaped.

Sadasivam, who was admitted to a private hospital, lodged a complaint with the police. “A special team traced the two software professionals who were abandoned near Marakkanam,” a senior police official said.
