Flying squad intercepted the car from Chennai proceeding towards Cuddalore

The election flying squad has seized four kg of gold jewellery from a car on the East Coast Road on Wednesday evening.

According to a press release, the flying squad, headed by Special Tasildar Daisy Kumar intercepted the car proceeding towards Cuddalore from Chennai at Kolathur Check Post at around 5.30 p.m. on March 30.

A check of the vehicle led to the seizure of four kg of gold jewellery, worth Rs.75 lakh. The seized goods were deposited at the Sub-Registrar office at Cheyyur, the release added.
