A woman riding a two-wheeler was fatally knocked down by a speeding van near the Saidapet police station on Anna Salai on Wednesday.
Police sources said that Ranjitha (21), a resident of Teynampet, died on the spot. The Guindy Traffic police have registered a case and the driver of the van, Raja (33) of Thoraipakkam, has been remanded to custody.
