Alain St Ange, Minister for Tourism and Culture, Republic of Seychelles, on Wednesday inaugurated a craniotome machine, which will help with skull reconstruction and craniocynostosis technology at the Balaji Dental and Craniofacial hospital in the city. Mr Alain was visiting the city primarily to promote tourism.

Speaking about the Craniotome technology, S.M. Balaji, Director of the Balaji Dental and Craniofacial hospital, said it ensured better precision and safety since it had an in-built safeguard for cutting hard tissue in skull reconstructions. “This will ensure that there is no damage caused to the dura tissue of the brain,” he said.
