Corporation to offer Rs. 8,000 as subsidy to build toilets in houses

Chennai Corporation will offer subsidy for residents to construct toilets in houses that do not have them. Utilising funds from the Central and State governments, the Corporation will extend Rs. 8,000 to each household.

House-owners who need toilets have to fill in an application form at their respective Corporation ward office. A field officer will verify the site and after approval, the money will be deposited to the applicant’s bank account.
