Christmas this time is big! An 18-foot high French dessert — ‘A Christmas Croquembouche’, is getting ready at Paprika. It is decorated with threads of chocolate, ribbons and bells, and is an assemblage of shoe buns stuck together with royal icing made of icing sugar, egg white and lemon juice, and built into a conical structure made of edible ingredients. It was decorated using a ‘Cherry Ladder’!

And, there’s of course, the special buffet, with roast turkey with cranberry jelly, maple glazed ham, beef Wellington, prune sauce, and cranberry sauce. On from December 24{+t}{+h} evening to 25th. For reservation and details, call 667644488.

At the Goodies Store, choose a range of confectionery, plum pudding, bishop nut bread, Yule log, nut fudge cakes and other varieties, and hampers for gifting. Available till January 1. For gifting, choose wrapped wines and confectionery, from hampers such as Festive Hamper (Rs. 6,000), Premier Hamper (Rs. 8,000) and the Grand Hamper (Rs. 15,000). Customised hampers can be created too. At Benjarong (ph: 24322640), try the set menu and a la carte on December 24 and 25. Special festival menu at China Town (Cathedral Road – ph: 28112246, and Citi Center) till January 3. Select Theenmura Menu as part of Syrian Christian Festival at Ente Keralam (ph: 42328585), till January 3, for lunch and dinner. Special cuisine at Kokum (ph: 43500181) on December 24 and 25. At The Slice, the cake shop try pastries, plum cakes, puddings, delicacies, and gift hampers.

In the lobby, Marlon Gomes and troupe will render carols till Christmas, from 7.30 p.m. to 10 p.m. At Any Time, the coffee shop, turkey buffet will be available on December 24{+t}{+h} evening. The next day try buffet lunch. At Azulia, the Mediterranean restaurant, go in for the five-course set menu with wine on December 24{+t}{+h} night. The next day, it will be a five-course wine lunch.
