AIADMK women's wing distributes aid

The women's wing of the AIADMK on Monday celebrated International Women's Day by distributing assistance to various charity organisations and students.

The function organised at the party headquarters was presided over by women's wing secretary Gokula Indira and senior leaders, including Visalakshi Neunchezhian, E.V.K. Sulochana Sampath and B. Valarmathi. Hearing aids, sewing machines, wheel chairs and wet grinders were distributed.

A resolution adopted at the function appreciated various pioneering schemes unveiled by Jayalalithaa for the welfare of women when she was Chief Minister of the State.
