61 fresh women engineer graduates get placement

As many as 61 women engineering graduates from across the State were placed in IBM India at a two-day recruitment held in Thalambur near here.

The recruitment was organised by the Centre for University Industry Collaboration of Anna University for eligible students from all engineering colleges affiliated to the university as part of its State-level placement programme on Monday and Tuesday. The event was hosted by Agni College of Technology which had made transport arrangements for the students.

CUIC director T. Thiyagrajan provided guidelines to the students.

According to college principal S.R.R. Senthil Kumar, a total of 1,487 students were invited for the placement drive and 778 candidates appeared.
