36 candidates from State clear civil services exam

State topper secures an All India Rank of 23

As many as 36 students from the State have cleared the UPSC civil services examination 2018.

State topper Rishab C.A., of Madurantakam, has secured the All India Rank 23. “I resigned my job in Infosys to start preparation for the civil services. My mentor Shankar used to advise me to read The Hindu during the preparation,” said Mr. Rishab. This is his third attempt. He did his graduation from MNM Jain Engineering College.

He received coaching at Shankar IAS Academy, Manidhaneyam Free IAS Academy, Kingmakers IAS Academy and All India Civil Services Coaching Centre of the State government.

Rangashree T.K., who secured the 50th rank, said she prepared with the guidance of IAS officials such as R.A. Israel Jebasingh. She studied law from the National Law University, Delhi.

V. Abishek of Chromepet has secured All India Rank 79. He completed his graduation from Sairam Engineering College. Deepana Visveswari V, who secured a rank of 117, did her graduation in Kelakkarai.

Another rank holder, Shreeraam R., who currently works as a clerk in a government department in Vellore, said he used to visit Chennai to get coaching from Manidhaneyam and Aram IAS Academy every weekend.
