With its inauguration, the civic body will have a total of 800 beds at its 10 maternity hospitals in the city. According to Corporation officials, about 120 to 130 babies are born at the centre. The hospital would also have a conference room and a room for duty doctors to stay overnight.
Work is in progress in six other health posts to provide outpatient facilities, including amenities such as ECG and laboratory testing services, Mr. Lakhoni said.
