2 bodies found on tracks

The Government Railway Police has recovered two bodies on the tracks between St. Thomas Mount and Tambaram stations.

They are said to belong to people who were run over by trains.

On Wednesday night, the GRP Tambaram staff received information that a body of a man around 25 years of age was lying on the tracks between these stations. The man was wearing a red-coloured shirt and a pair of jeans.

Similarly, the staff also recovered the body of a 40-year-old man killed on the tracks near Chromepet railway station on Thursday morning. Both the bodies were sent to Tambaram Taluk Government Hospital in Chromepet and they are yet to be identified, sources said.
