A youth was stabbed to death by a group of unidentified men in MICO Layout late on Thursday night. The victim, Mohammed Yousuf, 25, a resident of Lakshmi Layout near Puttenahalli, was a welder by profession.

He was riding home on his bike when a gang of four men on two motorcycles allegedly attacked him.

Passersby alerted the police and he was shifted to Victoria Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

The police suspect that it was a pre-meditated murder over an old rivalry and not a case of a robbery going wrong, as the victim’s bike and mobile phone were found at the spot.
