A homemaker and her minor daughter were found dead in the bathroom at their residence in K.R. Puram on Saturday. The deceased have been identified as Pushpa (24) and her one-and-half year old daughter, Suraksha. The police suspect that the mother-daughter may have choked to death since they were using a gas geyser and there was no ventilation.
The incident came to light on Saturday afternoon when Pushpa’s husband Dinesh, who owns a provision store, rushed home after she did not answer his calls. While he found the main door open, the bathroom was locked from inside. He broke open the door to find both of them on the floor.
