The woman later approached the Upparpet police and filed a complaint.
The police have analysed CCTV footage from Kuvempu Circle where he got off, but are unable to identify him.
The complainant had taken a metro train from Indiranagar and had gone to Majestic bus station where she had to take a bus to her house in Vidyaranyapura.
She sat in a seat reserved for women. She noticed a man wearing a pink shirt and a pair of white trousers sitting behind her on a seat reserved for women.
As the bus was nearing Kuvempu Circle on New BEL Ring Road, the man allegedly started touching her inappropriately on her back.
The woman raised an alarm and questioned the man. She asked his name. He replied that his name is Karthik and he denied touching her. The victim reported the incident to the woman conductor of the BMTC bus, and asked her to make the man sit on another seat as he was sitting in a seat reserved for women. During this time, the man got down at Kuvempu Circle.
