A 24-year-old was killed and her friend sustained serious injuries when a speeding cab knocked down their motorcycle on Outer Ring Road in Banasawadi on Wednesday.
The deceased, Anvitha (24), was from Hyderabad. Her friend, Siddhartha (24), has been admitted to a private hospital. The Banasawadi police have taken up a case of hit-and-run.
Guard killed
A security guard lost his life after being knocked down by a vehicle near Shivannahalli junction on West of Chord Road on Tuesday night. Chandrashekar (52) was a resident of Ramachandrapura. A case of hit and run has been registered in Vijayanagar traffic police station and efforts are on to track down the vehicle.
