A woman and her daughter died after a vehicle hit her two-wheeler near Lumbini Gardens in Hebbal on Outer Ring Road (ORR).
The accident occurred around 11 p.m. on Thursday when Raghu was returning home, with wife Surekha, 30 and daughter Aradhya, 3, from a relative's house after the Ganesha festival. Raghu runs a bakery near his house.
The police said Raghu lost his way and went on the flyover. He then took a U-turn to get back on the ORR. At Lumbini Gardens, an unidentified heavy vehicle hit their scooter from behind.
Surekha and Aradhya came under the wheels of the vehicle. Raghu fell on the median.
Passersby rushed Raghu to a nearby hospital. Hebbal traffic police have registered a case and are analysing CCTV footage from nearby cameras to identify the vehicle involved in the accident.
