Kavya S.P. is content with the 79.5 per cent that she managed to score. And why not? This student from Bosco Rainbow Home achieved this success under difficult circumstances and now dreams of becoming a breadwinner for her family.
Coming from a modest background, Kavya worked very hard, staying up several nights to prepare for her exams. Her father, Shankar P.M., is a tailor in a garment factory. He says Kavya and her sister lost their mother after which life was a struggle.
Kavya has set her aim on becoming an engineer and providing for her family in the future. Like her, as many as 17 children from Bosco Home appeared for the exam, of which four passed with first class.
