Whitefield’s woes inspire documentary

April 21, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:32 am IST - Bengaluru:

The chaos in Whitefield has got the creative juices of a few residents flowing. A couple has made a documentary after seeing the condition of a dusty and potholed road in the area.

Called “The magical journey between Hope Farm signal and ITPL in ITPL Road, Whitefield, Bangalore”, the film was posted on Youtube and Facebook on Monday. Residents and commuters were invited to express their difficulties and the frustration of commuting on the road.

The film was made by Karthikeyan Balasubramanian and Preethi, who plan to share the documentary with officials.

On Facebook, the film had 50 Likes and 30 comments. Responding to the film, one person raised a complaint on the website of Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP.sahaaya.in).

One suggested that the Chief Minister drive down the road while another that citizens stop paying property tax till the road is improved.
