Visually-impaired student tops IIIT-B

At the 17th convocation of the International Institute of Information Technology-Bangalore (IIIT-B) held on Sunday, 269 candidates were part of the graduating batch.

Vidhya Y., a visually-challenged student, was the topper of her batch in Masters of Science in the Digital Society. She bagged a 3.82 out of 4 CGPA. She has done her internship with Microsoft Research and now wants to work on designing technologies that are of relevance to persons with disability. She is extremely keen on working with visually-impaired children who are not able to take up Mathematics and Science in school.
