Two teens arrested for robbing milk vendor

CCTV footage of crime was circulated

The K.G. Halli police have arrested two persons who allegedly robbed a milk booth vendor of ₹400 after threatening him with weapons on October 29.

The accused, Abdul Wahid and Abdul Awaz, both aged 19, were caught following a complaint filed by the victim, Shanawaz. The duo has been charged with robbery and criminal intimidation and remanded in judicial custody.

According to the police, the duo barged into a shop, threatened Shanawaz and made away with ₹400 in cash. Initially, fearing repercussions, the victim did not file a complaint. However, a few customers who came to know about the incident and saw the CCTV footage of the shop recorded it on their mobile phones and circulated it on social media.

T he police subsequently called Shanawaz and asked him to file a complaint. Based on CCTV footage from in and around the area, the police identified the miscreants and arrested them.
