Two persons held with fake notes at J.J. Nagar

The J.J. Nagar police have arrested two persons and recovered fake currency worth Rs. 1.8 lakh from them. Muzammil Pasha (29) and his associate, Khaleel, were caught when they were trying to peddle the currency in the market.

The police recovered 370 currency notes of Rs. 500 denomination from them. The police said Pasha confessed that he had got the fake currency consignment from a contact, Munna, a native of Kolkata. Pasha also said he had paid Rs. 50,000 to Munna to get the consignment. The duo have been taken into police custody and investigations are on to find out whether they are part of a fake currency racket.
