Two boys killed in separate accidents

Two boys, including a one-and-half-year-old toddler, were killed in separate accidents in the city since Tuesday.

Bhaarangi, son of Shivashankar, a labourer, was playing in front of his house in Vaddarapalya when a speeding goods vehicle failed to notice the boy and ran over him on Wednesday .

Passers-by rushed the baby to a near-by hospital where the doctors declared him as brought dead.

The Hennur police have taken up a case.

In another incident, a 12-year-old was killed on the spot after a truck coming from Hesaraghata towards the city knocked him down in Vishveshwara Layout in Peenya on Tuesday evening.

The deceased Ritesh Kumar, a class 6 student, was the son of Madan Lal, a city-based electrical contractor. He was returning home on his bicycle from tuition classes.

The truck driver fled the scene soon after the accident, leaving the vehicle behind. The Peenya police have taken up a case.
