Techie killed in accident

A 33-year-old software engineer was killed on the spot when he lost control of his motorcycle and hit an electric pole on 100 feet road on Monday morning.

The deceased, Nithin Ganapati, hailed from Madikeri district. He was living in Hebbal. He had got married a few years ago. He had shifted to Bengaluru where he was working as a software engineer with an IT company, said the police.

On impact, he was flung off his bike and sustained severe head injuries. Passers-by alerted the police who shifted him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead. Police said he was found holding the helmet in his hand.

The Banaswadi traffic police have taken up a case.
