In a swift action, the Bellandur police chased and arrested a city-based software engineer for allegedly molesting a woman on a moving bus.

Madhusudhan Rao, 47, who works in an IT company in Whitefield, allegedly misbehaved with a 29-year-old woman inside a crowded BMTC Volvo bus late on Wednesday evening when she was returning home from work.

The victim lodged a complaint with the Bellandur police station through the recently launched mobile application called "Know Your Police Station."

“Immediately after receiving the complaint, the police swung into action and despatched a patrolling vehicle which intercepted the Volvo bus on Outer Ring Road and arrested the accused. An FIR was registered and a case was filed against Madhusudhan for outraging the modesty of a woman,” said a police officer. He has been remanded him to judicial custody.
