Governor Vajubhai R. Vala sending back the file on appointment of former Legislative Council Chairman V.R. Sudarshan for the post of Chairman of Karnataka Public Service Commission is the second instance. The State government had recommended Mr. Sudarshan’s name in December 2014. But Mr. Vala had withheld it after the BJP had filed a petition before him alleging “land-grabbing” by Mr. Sudarshan. Following the Lokayukta giving him the clean chit in March 2015, the government had re-sent the nomination.
