Seven-member gang arrested

A seven-member gang , which robbed people in banks on the pretext of helping them fill up deposit slips, has been arrested by the Madiwala police.

Gang members would dress smartly and target labourers from other States in banks.

They would help their victims to fill up deposit slips and to put the money into envelopes. Then, they would exchange them with envelopes containing fake currency.

The police have recovered Rs. 95,000 from them.

The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Akram (30), a native of Kerala, Mohammed Tushar (28), a native of Delhi, Mohammed Sadath (20), a native of Uttar Pradesh, Krishna Kumar Sahani (20), Muntan Kumar Sahani (20), Ramkumar Sahani (23) and Krishna Mahatao (54), all native of Bihar.

They would target labourers from other States in banks and dupe them of their money
