A software engineer’s house in CK Layout at Parappana Agrahara was burgled on Thursday and Rs. 4 lakh looted.
The police said Tulsi Ram (35) was attending his brother’s marriage in Sarjapura when the incident occurred. He learnt of the theft on returning home after the reception.
Mr. Tulsi told the police that the money was kept at his residence to meet the wedding expenses.
The police deployed a forensic squad and the dog squad. A case of house break-in has been registered in Parapana Agrahara police station.
