January 27, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:31 am IST - Bengaluru:

Robbers struck at the house of a realtor in Syndicate Bank Colony near Byadarahalli on Magadi Road and made away with gold and valuables worth Rs 70 lakh on Sunday evening.

According to the Tavarekere police, the complainant, Aradya, and his family had gone to his farm house in Nelamangala when the theft took place. He learnt about the theft around 10.30 p.m. when they returned and noticed that the house was ransacked and the locker in his bedroom was broken open.

"It looks like a handiwork of someone known to the family as they were aware about the family’s movements. We are examining footage from the CCTV camera installed in the area,” said an investigating officer.
