Private bus knocks down pedestrian

A 32-year-old pedestrian was killed on the spot by a speeding private bus at Mysore Bank Circle on Monday night.

The police have identified the deceased as Siddesh, who was from Madhugiri and lived near Tumakuru Road, 8th Mile. The police said Siddesh used to work as a housekeeping staff for the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Ltd.

Siddesh was walking to work when a bus coming from K.G. Road and heading towards Yeshvanthpur knocked him down. The police said Siddesh succumbed to injuries while being rushed to a nearby hospital.

The Halasuru Gate traffic police have taken up a case and are investigating.
