Power tariff: public hearings from February 6

The Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) will hold public hearings from February 6 to elicit views of the public and stakeholders on petitions filed by Escoms seeking a hike of 80 paise a unit in the power tariff. According to a notification issued by the KERC, the hearing for Bescom and Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd. (KPTCL) will be held here on February 6 at the KERC court hall.

Similarly, public hearings for Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) will be held on February 9, while for Mescom and the Mangalore Special Economic Zone will be held on February 10.

Public hearings for Hescom and Gescom will be held on February 12 and 13.
