The Central Division police have nabbed a gang of four kidnappers including a juvenile delinquent, who had abducted a 16-year-old student in an autorickshaw on January 8.

The victim, son of a businessman, was returning home from school when the gang forced him into an autorickshaw and robbed his valuables including wallets and watch. The victim managed to escape in a dramatic way before the accused could call his parents for ransom.

Based on the complaint, the police managed to collect physical description of the accused and nabbed Tawakkla, Nazir and Shabaz along with a minor boy who is part of the plot.

“We are trying to ascertain the purpose and the details of their plot and also investigating to ascertain whether they are professionals”, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sandeep Patil said.
