The High Grounds police are on the lookout for a person who allegedly tried to get the post of Junior Engineer of the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) by forging a recommendation letter with the letterhead of the Karnataka State Commission For Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes, the Chief Minister’s signature, and the officer on special duty to the CM.

The fraud came to light when clerical staff at MUDA sent a letter to the CM”s office on Tuesday asking for a clarification.

B.N. Krishnaiah, the officer on special duty to CM, filed a complaint on Wednesday following which the police filed a case of cheating and forgery against the person.

The police are yet to reveal the identity of the accused. “He has forged the signatures of the Chief Minister and Mr. Krishnaiah. We are trying to track him down,” said a police officer.
