Police bust prostitution racket, arrest two

The South-East Division police have raided a rented house in Huliavu and arrested two persons for allegedly running a prostitution racket. The police have also rescued a girl who has been reportedly forced into prostitution.

According to the police, the accused, identified as Shankar and Gangegowda, acted as pimps. They work for a live band in the city bar and forced the girls working in the bar into prostitution.

Based on a tip off, a team of police raided the house and arrested the accused. The police have also recovered Rs. 25,000 and mobile phones from them.
