The party high-command will decide on fielding Yathindra in the next election, said Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday. Speaking to presspersons, Mr. Siddaramaiah said following the death of his elder son, he had asked Mr. Yatindra to look after his constituency Varuna. “The party will decide on his candidature from Varuna,” he said.

Regarding the death of IAS officer Anurag Tewari, the CM said the government would extend cooperation to the inquiry into his death. “If there was a scam in the department, he should have informed senior officers in the government,” he said.

Responding to the BJP leaders’ allegations, he said similar comments were made with regard to death of D.K.Ravi and police officer Ganapati.

The CM reiterated that he would lead the party in the next assembly election. “I will be leading the party and party highcommand will decide the next Chief Minister,” he said.
