The Tanzanian students, who were allegedly thrashed by the angry mob at Soladevanahalli had nothing to do with the accident that triggered a rampage. Management representatives of Acharya Institutes said they happened to be passing by in another car at least half an hour after the accident. C.B.M. Bhushan, Executive Secretary to the Chairman, Acharya Institutes, told The Hindu: “They were coming from the opposite direction. They were thrashed. Later, they were taken to Sapthagiri Hospital. They are fine now, and have attended college as well,” he said.
