Nightingales Medical Trust to open shelter for elderly women

The Nightingales Medical Trust (NMT) will inaugurate a new shelter, Sandhya Suraksha, for elderly homeless women on Tuesday. The 70-bed home, located at Anepalya, will provide meals, medical care, palliative care, a rehabilitation programme, recreational activities, and vocational training in activities such as kitchen gardening, candle making and tailoring. It will also house a special care unit for women suffering from memory loss.
