A 42-year old woman and her 25-year-old son committed suicide by hanging themselves inside a paying guest accommodation they owned in Soladevanahalli on Monday night.

According to Soladevanahalli police, Sunidha Nazim (42), her husband Mohammed Nizam (52) and son Mohammed Nazim (25) were running three paying guest accommodations in the Soladevanahalli police station limits.

On Tuesday morning, some of the tenants noticed that one of the rooms was locked for a long time. When they looked through the window they found that Sunidha and her son Mohammed Nazim hanging from the fan.

They immediately alerted the Soladevanahalli police. “The bodies have been sent for post mortem. There was no suicide note and a case was registered based on a complaint filed by Mohammed Nizam,” said a police officer.

Police suspect that the duo took the extreme measure due to financial problems.
