MoS Defence visits HAL units

Minister of State for Defence Shripad Yesso Naik visited the facilities of State-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd on Wednesday.

HAL Chairman and Managing Director R. Madhavan and senior officials showed him around the helicopter hangars, the LCA Tejas division, and the Rotary Wing R and Centre. They briefed the Minister on the company's current and future projects, a company release said.

Mr. Naik was quoted as saying, "We are proud to see the work done by HAL in manufacturing helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. We should make more efforts to be self-sufficient in the field.”
