Moodbidri murder: BJP threatens stir

October 16, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:40 am IST - BENGALURU:

The Bharatiya Janata Party has set the deadline of October 19 for the State police to arrest those responsible for the murder of a Bajrang Dal worker in Moodbidri. It has warned the government of launching a protest in Dakshina Kannada against the alleged “police failure” from October 20 if the demand was not met by then.

This decision was taken at a meeting of the party’s State core committee here on Thursday. Speaking to reporters, BJP State president Pralhad Joshi alleged that instead of arresting the “real culprits”, the police were harassing party workers by “foisting false cases” against them.
