Minister gives clean chit to KMF

Cooperation Minister H.S. Mahadev Prasad has given a clean chit to Karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Ltd. (KMF) and ruled out irregularities in the tender approved for purchasing machinery worth Rs. 199 crore by the federation.

A committee headed by the Principal Secretary of the Cooperation Department has said that the KMF board has the final authority in taking decisions pertaining to tenders.

JD(S) MLA H.D. Revanna, who is one of the KMF directors, had recently accused the former KMF managing director S.N. Jayaram of involving in irregularities by finalising the tender a few days before his retirement.

Mr. Prasad told presspersons that the KMF board would take a decision on the tender for purchasing machinery at its next meeting.
