Let Lokayukta probe charges: Siddaiah

April 01, 2013 08:31 am | Updated November 17, 2021 04:15 am IST - Bangalore:

Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Commissioner Siddaiah, responding to the FIRs registered against him by the Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force on Saturday, has rubbished the charges, alleging a vilification campaign against him. In a communiqué, he said that he would urge the government to entrust the investigation to the Lokayukta. “My conscience is clear and I will come out of this vilification campaign orchestrated by vested interests,” he said.

About the first FIR, he said that the land acquired by the Bangalore Development Authority in Nagashettyhalli was allotted by way of “bulk allotment” to NTI Society in 1981-82. As per the documents, the total extent is 11 acres and 20 guntas, but actually it is 10 acres and 24 guntas. The first plan for ground plus three floors was sanctioned in 2006, while the second plan for ground plus 19 floors was sanctioned in 2007. The plan was again modified, with an addition of two floors, with TDR for one block being issued in December 2010. The partial Occupancy Certificate (OC) was issued after inspection in February 2011, while the OC for the remaining blocks was issued on March 23, 2013.
