Many valuables including the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awards conferred to poet laureate Kuvempu were stolen from Kavimane, the memorial of the late writer in Kuppalli village near here on Monday night.

The entire museum has been ransacked. The surveillance cameras there have also been damaged. Interestingly the Jnanapith award kept there has remained intact.

Additional Superintendent of Police Vishnuvardhan visited the spot.
