Curtains came down on Sunday on the four-day Krishi Mela, organised by University of Agricultural Sciences -Bengaluru, which drew a large number of visitors to the Gandhi Krishi Vijnan Kendra campus.
On display were an array of innovations, research and start-ups in the farming sector.
Over 13 lakh people, including farmers, students, research scholars, scientists and entrepreneurs, visited the Mela in the last four days. Over 5.5 lakh people visited on the last day.
While 1.1 lakh people visited on November 15, the first day, the numbers went up to 2.5 lakh on the second day and four lakh on the third day.
According to the organisers, the Mela saw an overall transaction of ₹5.82 crore. While a transaction of ₹97 lakh was done on the first day, business went up to ₹1.5 crore on the second day and ₹1.6 crore on the third day.
The last day saw transactions to the tune of ₹1.75 crore, the organisers said.
