Karnataka has outperformed several States in the ICSE and CBSE examinations. Teachers and principals of some schools shared their strategy to boost the confidence of students and enhance their academic performance.
Presidency School in Nandini Layout has been achieving cent per cent pass results for two decades.
This year, it boasts of a national level rank holder in Tejas Kumar with 98.2 per cent. The school average is at an all-time high of 88 per cent.
Principal Fathima. M. said, “Continued revision sessions, revisiting concepts that lacked clarity, taking parents into confidence and explaining with conviction the purpose behind our painstaking strategy played a vital role in our success.”
Good effort
Anand Shiksha Kendra on Sarjapur Road has been achieving 100 per cent pass results for eight years. This year, of 43 students, eight have secured Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 10 while 20 secured over 9.
Principal Neelima Teotia said, “It was a tremendous effort by teachers, as there was hardly any assistance from parents. They conducted remedial classes to suit the needs of individual students to improve their grades.”
