Bangalore : 19/11/2013 .  38-year-old woman Jyothi Uday, an employee of Corporation Bank working at Mission Road branch, was attacked by a man while she was withdrawing money from Corporation Bank’s ATM situated at LIC building on J C Road in bangalore on 19th 2013.

State Home Minister K.G. George lauded the courage of Jyothi Uday, the 38-year-old woman who was attacked on Tuesday while she was withdrawing money from an ATM near Corporation Circle.

He said that the very fact that she had tried to fight back showed her courage, Mr. George said, wishing her a speedy recovery. He was speaking on the sidelines of an event organised by the ‘Being Women Society of Bharath’.

Mr. George also said that he would talk to banks to step up security at ATM kiosks. “We have issued notices to all banks asking them to provide security at each kiosk. The police is also working to solve the case and catch the assailant whose face has been caught on CCTV,” he said. Later in the day, he met top police officials and representatives of banks.
